The idea for an environmentally conscious project serving people, animals and nature came into life back in 2015.

Biótopo Voana was a love at first sight. Hidden in the mountainous Madeiran coast, surrounded by the beautiful eucalyptus forest, it emerged from the barely touched wild flowers as a place created to find harmony and peace within nature. With every breath of fresh air, it became clear that we want to preserve this beautiful area while creating a space where people can find and learn new ways of co-living, away from the busy life of modern city jungles.

From the tiny houses, built in a way to recreate the environment outside, all the way to workshops on meditation, yoga and permaculture, eco-friendly products and more, our vision flourishes on creative mind-sets and openness. We believe that true inner peace can only be found if life is in balance with nature – sustainable lifestyle is only possible when we give back as much as we take from Mother Nature.
